Our Story

Decades ago, Denver Seminary professor Howard Baker dreamed of creating a resource in Denver to come alongside Christians longing to experience the "life to the full" Jesus promised in John 10:10. A life full of joy, contentment, and freedom. A life marked by transformation and wholeness. A life lived in authentic and rich communion with God.

In the last few years, God has brought this vision to life, leading to the formation of the Abbey in 2017.  An interdenominational organization, the Abbey invites Christians in Colorado to deepen their life with God.

The Abbey collaborates closely with the Denver Seminary Soul Care Initiative as well as a kindred ministry in the Bay Area called WellSpring.
